Like it says in the title, this blog is a random mix of stuff. Sometimes there's bits and bobs about stuff that's happening in my life, my comments on books I've been reading, or something I've thought about through a discussion with a friend. There are pieces about my views on political issues, or issues in the church. Sometimes there's my comments on a sermon I've heard or a news item. Some posts reflect the struggles and dilemmas I'm facing. The odd rant, the odd funny story. Please feel free to comment, to agree or disagree, because "my opinion doesn't matter matter matter..."
As an introduction you might find this post helpful.
I hope you enjoy reading my blog, that perhaps it makes you think, and it is (slipping into Christianese for a moment) a blessing to you.
"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander."

Hi Lois
ReplyDeleteI am a fundraiser in the charitable sector (work at Hollybank Trust in Mirfield) a Christian, a Yorkie and a G & S nut! I stumbled on yr blog because I insulted one of my colleagues by calling her a "contadine" - we had a day speaking Italian (don't ask! It keeps us sane) and she needed direction to it's meaning! I enjoyed yr blog - if you want a better job you could come and work at Hollybank though it would be a big commute. It also gets mad here a lot of the time. But v rewarding caring for secerely disabled youngsters.
